I refuse to sink
But the water-
It's calling out to me
It sings my name
To the rhythm of it's waves
It begs me to come and play
It begs me to go under
Just this last time
It tempts me to feel the water
To cross that unforgiving line
To tie anchors around my ankles
And dive on in.
In the water I see a reflection
It's my past, my twin.
She calls out to me
She's playing a game
I refuse to win.
She's drowning now
She's fading, being lifted away
All that's left is the water
Dancing, to it's haunted ballet.
