The fading light
Filled with beauty and sorrow
Clashing colors dance
Fighting to remain alive
Filling those who watch
With awe and reverence

All the colors of the world
Blending together, becoming one
The light flickers and dies
The remaining few muddle on

All but one
Waiting for the light
The beauty
The sorrow

Waiting for something so ordinary
Yet so undeniably extraordinary
Waiting for the next sunset
And all the beauty of the world

Can you see the beauty,
Everywhere around you?
Can you see through the haze
Cast by civilization

Empires fall and die
Cities crumble
Yet nature always survives
Its true beauty waiting to be found

A leaf falling from a tree
A kitten taking its first steps
A shooting star flying across the night sky
A sunset made for two

Can you see the beauty?
From a blade of grass
To a towering mountain
Look past the skyscrapers
See the sky itself
And bask in its beauty
