My heart is at the bottom of the ocean
Set in motion by the moon
Brought to surface by the wind and tide
Exposed to the sun where it can't hide.

All these feelings of love I have for you But the water is blue...
Because I search the horizon for you
For some spot of land or a sail or a view of
anything that will bring me closer to you.

So I look to the sky and scream the question "why?"
Why can't be with you?
A gull screams back and I hear a frigate screech,
I know them you're within reach!

My heart floats with hope on top of a swell
Can you hear my voice in a lonely seashell?
Or on the wind when heaven is calm?
Or in the rustle of a crying palm?

Because I long to be loving you...
What can my heart do?

I guess keep searching for you
As I drift gently on a wave
Of a memory of you.
