I NEVER THOUGHT

I never felt poetry could do this to me
Have my skin tingle with your very ecstasy
The glow of soft moonlight upo your skin
Feeling of walking on air when you came in

Never thought poetry could feel so alive
Never thought my heart could simply thrive
Never thought another could have me feel
As if I could fly and the feeling so very real

Ever magneticly I from then belonged to you
I prayed the night never to invite morning dew
To think of wording my now in any form of poetry
Would be an impossible task recording all that be

Like a swell on the ocean so beautiful to flow
With a silent passion that only nature could know
Kisses that clung as if for dearest of life to be
Souls as one without any intention to set free

No thoughts of the world time just stood still
Silently praying that it always would and will
Perfection ever grand as perfection could become
I never thought poetry to have my souls song sung

To lay there together totally loved in such a way
Not able to move after poetry had sung until day
But your signal to rest awhile as then came rain
Relax my lover take five and we'll do it all again
