Another Day

Sometimes a surface masks what is inside

Like the sphere below our feet.

Other times it cannot hide

What is happening beneath.

We become adept at trying to conceal

Emotions others may unseat.

Like the sun in it's daily ride

We must go down in defeat.

With tomorrow's sunrise

We wipe the slate clean.

The next tomorrow is a day away

And we get to start over again.
