Life is a temptress
and she will never tempt you
through her duplicity
she will throw you a bone
and take it before you can bite
Leave you stranded and spent
Wondering where she has gone
And when she will return

Life, the leading lady
Will dance around happiness
And waltz with pain and defeat
Taunting you with every 3 counts

She tires you
And cheats you
But claims it is all in good fun
When her fun is what causes you to stumble and fall
So please Lady Luck
Mistress of all
Bring the deadly necklace
And the deceitful cure
Bring me the peace I long for
And bring an end to the thoughts
And the voices
That hold me captive
Please spare me the encore
And give me
The last ovation
yayay my first poem up on a website :)
