I used to look to the stars
to determine our fate
But the stars that used to shine so bright
are bleak and darkened
Maybe the stars knew
that our time was limited

Turning toward the sky now,
I realize
That no matter how much time
you have
to appreciate something,
You only truly miss it once it's gone

And I guess you could say the same for people
