Transition
The path we followed
For years it lead
Till we reached a gate
On which it read:
MEMBERS ONLY
A heavy sigh
Escaped your lips
Then
A heavy guilt
Filled my heart
Our eyes met
Our souls knew
The time had come
and finally;
A loosened grip
Slowly, gently
I withdrew my hand
Promised my return.
On my childhood
I turned my back
At last;
My very own path.
