When we were young...
we scraped our knees and
our parents kissed our boo-boos.
When we were teens...
we got bullied at school and
wanted it to stop so we self-harmed.
When we were adults...
we went through our first divorce and
turned straight to the bottles.
When we were old...
we realized no one was there and
we passed of a broken heart.
When we were dead...
we watched over everyone else and
tried to protect them from being like us.
