The day springs hope a new
shelter through the flames of resistance
although tempted I remain strong
in my dreams I plea
nearer my God to thee
through the weight of resistance
under every circumstance

to stand tall in the twilight of the hour
keep me safe through waking thoughts
out of my stormy grief thy parting ways
through comfort and love left exposed
