Embers
Fireworks,
How we began.
How everything started.
And how I thought we would end.
We were two persons,
Powered by a strong love
That we thought no one
Could even break us apart.
But as time passes,
We grew tired of each other.
Our supposed infinity started to blur
Like how an old man loses his vision.
Loud laughters
Turned into sly smiles
Until they turn ito impassive stares,
Like were not affected of our past.
Meaningful eye contacts
Became spared glances
Until we can no longer stand
Looking at each other's eyes.
Our sweet talks
Changed into petty fights
Until they turn into a single
Yet burning cold war.
A love that once was so clear
Now is slowly fading
Until it all blacks out
Like drifting into nothingness.
Dying embers,
Burning out into fading flickers
Until there was nothing but darkness,
How we and everything ended.
