Emily went to college & got passing
grades but she hung out in bars after
school & drank too much &wound
up in AA; Kelsey married young to
a workaholic & moved to Staten Island
w/ her first then second husband &
kids; Emily can't stay sober & think
leather smells like ***; she hasn't
changed much over the years; she
thinks she's hot & her friends are half
her age some minor celebrities; she
goes to great parties; Kelsey got breast
cancer & a double mastectomy; still
she was dead w/in a year; Emily didn't
care about life & ate too many pills
one night after too much white wine
& died; their obituaries were in the
paper the same day; the perpetual party
girl & housewife; same generation side
by side & not surprisingly world's apart
