Breathe,
Some say it helps,
Some say it wont let them in,
But who are they to know,
How the shadows lurk within,
You feel it in your veins,
You feel it in your skin,
Wanting to escape,
But it always wins,
You think its okay,
But that's what it does,
Manipulates your mind,
Until you lose it that is,
You close your eyes to sleep,
Hoping this time the sandman will arrive,
But your growing weary,
Along with your mind,
Breath they say,
It cant come in,
But what do they know,
They cant read your mind,
hear your thoughts,
Or listen to your heart,
They cant hear your struggle,
Nor the pain within,
So you sit in the dark,
With the shadows within.
