for had it not come,
i would never have found
my will to live.

Thank you for the voices,
for had they not spoken up,
i would never have found
my poems.

Thank you for the tears,
for had they not fallen,
i would not have looked up to see
the beautiful world before me.

Lastly, thank you for the scars,
for had i not made them,
i would not have the tattoos
for wars fought and won.

Thank you.... for it all.
Pain was a blessing in disguise. I only saw it as my mortal enemy, my nemesis, the villain to my hero, my peanut allergy to peanut butter (I love peanut butter and i don't have an allergy thank god, but still.) Had i not felt the pain, i would not have had the will to stand and fight.
