I can see the scenery
The scenery staring back at me
I can see the reflections of the mirrors
The colours of the lights prisms
The black of the shadows
Lush green fields where nature grows
Battering of the wind where the debris blows
The underlying conditions that hold our own
The sadness in your eyes when you are all alone
The joy when you smile
The place your heart calls a home
How you dance with the breeze the summer sun
How you rest when all seams to come undone
The blame on your tongue when the bitterness comes
The pain to your victims when you have endured the harshest whipping from a heavy metal loaded gun
I see the fights
The plights we have lost and won
Successful times
The failure taken to none
Trying and smiling far easier for some
As day turns to night and the moon lifts the veil
We are doing our best no one wants to flounder squander
and fail
Shifting with the motions the movements that pass
To be living on earth that is our learned task
I see these glimpses as I lean in
Rise up and fall
back
