They were your favorite
Surprisingly enough mine too
It would always remind me of the blue sky
How we would spend hours upon hours
Under the blue sky
Just taking, sometimes eating
And almost always hand holding
We would give thanks for the smaller things in life
Like your blue-black curls
My goofy smile
Our togetherness
45 faithful years have passed since then
It really was not enough but I am mighty thankful to have spend them filled with your love, comfort and company
But today as I look up to the sky
I..
I have nothing to be thankful for
The mind is empty and my heart feels heavy
It feels like I am bleeding from the inside
You lie beneath my feet
And the air—
It smells like forget me not's!
