Lives have been taken
Loved ones are gone
As our heros tried to
save them
They were lost
As the fog lifted and
The clouds rolled a
burst of silence went
through us all
No one could speak
Not even flinch
We could still hear
screaming inside our heads
and in our minds we ask ourselves
What just happend?!
The answer?
No one knows

I wrote this poem shortly after 2001.I was in the 4th grade.9/11 was the first thing I ever experienced that I felt so intensely and deeply,it brought me to write.This is the first poem I've ever written.
