Lightning struck her darkened soul
So the story now unfolds
Can I come out of my cage she says
To the voice up there in thread
I swear you are beautiful and mean
But I love the way you look at me
I hold your anger and kiss your rage
You lock me in this pretty cage
A tiny ray of sun casts thin
Come closer and I'll let you in
I dare not blink or cringe my eye
So not to miss a ounce of light
And in this place I have been so long
A soft voice sings a beautiful lonely song
I dream of past sun lit days
Then wake up in his black space
