Simplicity is key they say
A key to a door hidden away?
What does this door lead to?
What if I like it the “hard” way?
What if it makes more sense to me,
And it just flows like a calm sea?

People always tell me to stop and do it their way
But they are just helping, their way is easy to say
But maybe their way is the “hard” one you see
If mine is easy what does that make theirs to me?

I just say let people do it their way
Maybe lend them a pointer or two
But never discredit someone because they don’t think like you do
Instead sit there and maybe think it through

The “hard” way can be good and give you more knowledge
Trust me it all won’t fall like new fall foliage
True to most, the hard will take longer
But perhaps next time yours will be “harder”
