So my dog has a week to live.
13 years is what she
Had To give.
When she was a pup
She broke her spine.
"There is no hope"
Said the vet.
So we said "** you"
We bought her wheels
Now she is a novelty pet.
I'm a sprinter and
She can keep me at my paces.
Take her down the street
And there's smiles on all the faces
Of the people that see the dog
that can run with two legs,
She can smile and bark
And dig and rustle trust me
she can do it all.
But what puzzles me is
She does all this
Whilst in her mouth there's
Always a ball.
I know i have mail
When she incessantly yaps,
I know i have guests
When she incessantly yaps
I i have ghosts
When she incessantly yaps!

I was there at her birth
Wiggling like a worm
she was mewing
On my chest, I said
"That's the one!"
She's proven kind, warm, friendly
And smart too, and thanks to
Social media is a
World Winner of hearts.

When i see the puppy in her
Begging for food.
Or just staring at me
Like no-one ever should.
I feel the love in this eyes
And it won't go away.
It's surreal
That it's to end.
It's not the death
Of an animal
Its the death of my best friend.
