LOVE,  THE  BEST  PRAYER

You pray and think you do God's will
And deem you will in heaven dwell,
But if in love your heart is cold
Heaven won't be your coming world.

The world you seek is in your heart
Where God, His throne and peace has built.
There is your heaven and your dream
If love and peace from your heart gleam.

Your alms and prayers are so good;
They help to love and show the road
To love, to help and dry the tears;
Then you dwell in the world of cheers.

If you pray and that does not move
Your pity and your  heart's deep love,
Your prayers are not well addressed,
And their right way they have digressed.
