Drunk

The tropic breeze guides your sultry touch

the tropic breeze guides your sultry touch

Dew rests on my skin like the beads of priceless treasure

dew rests on my skin like the beads of priceless treasure

The treasure of your sultry skin rests on the breeze

Tropic beads guide my priceless touch like dew

Drunk on starlight, my head swims in your warm waters

drunk on starlight, my head swims in your warm waters

Ravenous for a taste of the sea, lick the salt from my lips

ravenous for a taste of the sea, lick the salt from my lips

My warm starlight swims in for a lick from the ravenous waters

Your head; drunk on the taste of my sea-salt lips

To be lost within your depths

to be lost within your depths

Oh! How it drowns my eyes

Oh! How it drowns my eyes

How your eyes drown my depths

Oh! To be lost be lost within…

From the warm sea, my tropic beads of salt rest within your head

The lost dew drowns my taste, my lick

Like the breeze of a ravenous touch

My! To be drunk on your priceless, starlight eyes

Your treasure swims in water’s depths

Oh! How it guides the lips on sultry skin

This poem is called a paradelle. The repetition and word arrangement is particular to this kind of poem. I see it as a poetry puzzle, and I really enjoy puzzles :)
