THE  COMPETITION

What can man say, but please my Lord
Help me to do well in this world.
It is for once, not to repeat
And all of us have to compete.

What can l do when l compare
Myself with Plato and Voltaire?
Should l stand still and say they are
Compared with me, they are too far?

How can l say so to my Lord,
Who will retort l give you mind.
I've given them what l give you;
You should like them stand up and do.

I'm your Dad, and they are your kin.
I think you should from now begin
To retrieve the time you have lost
And in your Dad and self have trust.
