Valentine’s Day will be here soon
Love is in the air; thicker than humidity in June
Hugs and kisses for the mister and the missus
Smell the rose’s perfume carried on the breeze
While the birds sing love songs in the trees
Hearts are happy when we celebrate with friends
We pray that the good time never ends
For all those who bring us warmth and light,
Who answer a call in the middle of the night;
We express our thanks and let them know
How much we cherish them in our highs and lows
The moments together are more precious than gold
To cherish and treasure, to have and to hold
Sure it’s flowers, chocolate, cute cards from the store
But Valentine’s Day is that and so much more!
