Falling for love.
Echos of the past,
Chase peace away,
From an innocent heart,
Where pain creases the soul.
Flooding thoughts,
Of a make believe land,
Still believed,
But no longer trusted.
Understanding self,
To let go of illusion,
As I fall deeper and deeper,
Down the rabbit hole.
Things held dear to the mind,
No longer mean anything to the heart,
As I stand on different feet,
In a foreign land.
A sadness flood my body,
At the loss of self,
Loss of an idea,
Loss of a story.
Illusion shatters,
As the heart glides,
Higher and higher,
Into nothing but love.
