The shatter of a piercing bullet,
Somewhere, a knife slicing through,
A hand grenade, diffused and flung,
A lifeless body, lying in two

Yet another life is lost,
the soul rising above,
amidst cries of close ones,
pouring out their love

The thump of an axe against a tree,
the sight of nature, now so rare,
a satisfied hunter, his evil smile,
Mass destruction, everywhere

Lives, taken for granted,
Murders and suicides, everyday,
Why that inhuman cruelty?
We aren’t here forever anyway

The air around us, utterly depressed,
As we’re all finally down on our knees,
Yet, we’re still fighting with each other,
when we should be fighting for World Peace
