Regret

An evening sky embraced with hints of red

A lonely path through frosted hopes and dreams

The silenced waterfalls now standing still

Emotions trapped beneath icy waters

Time brings forward forgotten memories

Frosted petals painful to the bare skin

Leaves floating to the ground covered in blood

A tortured soul lingers in the forest

Unseen eyes staring from hidden corners

Whispers floating upon the gentle breeze

Menacing tales flitter through the mind

Haunting the darkness, fading with the light.

Regret follows the light in the distance

Never far behind slowly catching up.
