The fast falling rain slams hard against the old wooden windows
The wind whistles through the empty fire place
And lightning the only light that shines in the darkened room.
Promises uttered last as long as the whisperers icy breath hangs in the air
A faint layer of dust covers an old fashioned telephone that keeps ringing, but remains unanswered
And the smell of damp wood and musty perfume lingers and mixes with the ghosts and memories of the past.

An evening sky embraced with hints of red
A lonely path through frosted hopes and dreams
The silenced waterfalls now standing still
Emotions trapped beneath icy waters

Time brings forward forgotten memories
Frosted petals painful to the bare skin
Leaves floating to the ground covered in blood
A tortured soul lingers in the forest

Unseen eyes staring from hidden corners
Whispers floating upon the gentle breeze
Menacing tales flitter through the mind
Haunting the darkness, fading with the light.

Regret follows the light in the distance
Never far behind slowly catching up.

The warm summer sun
lightens up the dusty loft
hidden memories

The warm summer sun
casts shadows across the room
secrets well hidden

The warm summer sun
dances over photographs
a forgotten past

Talking to me is wasted breath; I hear not the words of mortals.
My eyes see not the world you see; they see a land of broken dreams.
I feel a strong cold wind, though no-one else does.
With the wind comes a voice telling of how things should be.

A darkened room
An abandoned chair.
A worn out clock
A blackened chimney.
A dusty desk.
A tattered diary, all alone.
With pages old and crinkled.
The words faded.
Still telling their tale.
A story long forgotten.
With the passing of time.

Slowly comes the crashing doom
As the gentle petals darkly fell
Slowly comes the crashing doom
As the sun sets in frosty silence
Slowly comes the crashing doom
As the whistling wind blows through the deserted city
Slowly comes the crashing doom
All dreams are broken. Hope is lost.

You blew me off like an autumn breeze
Left me alone with dead leaves for my heart
Still as a statue, silent as a grave
I watched and i waited, hoping summer would return
Winter came and buried me under 10 feet of snow
Shivering and alone, with no hope of warmth
I cried and i cried as the leaves rotted away
Abandoned and drained of all hope
Slowly i froze, losing myself to despair
Slowly spring came, the frost starts to thaw
New life begins, but no hope is left for me anymore
Lost to the world, summer returns
I melt to the ground, unable to survive
No longer able to fit in, too many changes made in my absence
