Deep within my pantry surrounded
By recipes for blueberry and apple pie
There is a leathery old thing
Its pages worn to an unattractive yellow
It was the last thing I expected my mother to keep
But I reached for it and read

The Real Recipe for Life
You will need:
A love who sees the beauty in others
Not only in the mirror
Someone to call your angel
Someone to call your devil
A tear of sadness and of joy
A passion that goes above survival
And a handshake with Death

To properly prepare
Mix and spread evenly throughout your life
