I watch the golden corn wave to the wind,
I enter the field and I'm immediately part of it,
I completely forget myself,
I'm completely lost in the moment.

With fingers spread I hold out my hands,
Touching life as I pass through it,
Blocks of colour override my senses,
As I walk the tired worn path.

My attention shifts to the expansive blue sky,
Translucent clouds scattered to perfection,
I look down and realize I'm now off the track,
I walk deeper into the beauty.

I stop in the golden glow from above and below,
A feeling invites me to lay down,
I follow it and find a world on its side,
I observe the corn dancing around me.

I stare upwards at the framed sky,
My world collapses into a single picture,
Feelings of childhood arise,
Simply peace, love and the light.
