Far Off
Darkened, we walk
a wheat road
to unraveled destiny
We who have loved
and suffered
We who have become
these mirrors
Broken
under the weight
of axles burdened
Similar smiles and
shining teeth say
this
It can't be
far off now
Look to the horizon
for broken promises
and side to side
for the real show
We know the path
we walk is a
downhill tumble
but the air is still
and the earth
it rumbles
