My heart grows heavy and pale
Fighting for what I love
In this battle where I seem destined to fail
I wish I had the words
For you to see into my heart
But we are bound by fear and uncertainty
So I struggle to find the words with which to start
Should I tell you how strong you make me every time you say
“I love you”
Or how broken I become with every
“I don’t want to be with you”
But even with every broken piece of my heart
And every thread of my soul
I believe
We belong side by side
If only you could see the way I hold your heart against mine
Beating in tune
Or the wish to be united
Hand in hand
I will give you all of my love
But in truth
For you this may not be enough
