Lackluster in spirit
pearls twirl in the midnight blue
like ballerinas on a frozen lake.
these swans make up for the moonless night
as your glittering eyes spark a glaze
behind the burning tip of your joint.
Last night I had dreamed a million dreams
of a million lights flashing
reflecting off the lake colors of red and purple.
The swans fly off sometimes when this happens
For a piece of pie in the distance.
