Every person has a place they go to when in trouble,
They call it the safe spot.
It might be sitting in your room in silence,
It the library reading books,
It might be under an umbrella in the arms of your lover.
It’s that place, yes you know where it is.
No it’s not magical,
It won’t protect you completely,
But in that place, light shines on you.
Because in a world of black and white,
All it takes is that little spec of hope
To see the goodness in the world.
That’s a safe place.
Your safe place.
