The once beautiful face,
now smeared with tears,
as rivers of makeup trail,
like icicles in winter.

Oh the pain and the strain,
of a man who knows not,
how to love his beautiful girl,
let his heart just rot.

All alone he'll spend his days,
wasted love gone by,
but he doesn't even notice,
the tear run from his eyes.

Oh to lose a love,
anger denial blame,
searching for the reasons,
finding none,
moving on, hopefully.

But faded love never truly fades away,
it hangs on like a cloud on a sunny day,
climbs upon your back, and never lets go,
It becomes a part of you neverending flow.
