Their hits are like top 40 country - That's just as good as a flood of classic rock on top 40 FM stations. Hits like they had in Cotton Candy (Hirt), Last Date (Floyd Cramer) and, I believe, Alley Cat (Bent Tafrie) may sound trite and stale to real music outies and long haves erudite and fascinating, but nothing like keeping it simple, stupid, like the infantry motto says - and avoid all the affected esoterian in cult music circles.
