The waves splash and the winds blow by
Send your cold breeze to the sands, O mother sky
Sweet, sweet sea music and the seabirds singing
My curtains hang low as I hear the ferries screaming

In this island so dreamy, the city across agleam with lights
And the ferries race to the urban as they fade in sight
The beauty is static as if they were made to astound
When the sunset comes, the mountains across are crowned

It’s nearing night time and the light is fading from the day
The city and the sky is a diamond sparkling the bay
Their light walked across the island
As if God was blessing these highlands

Hug me windy breeze! Make me fall asleep
Send in the roaring ships; and the dolphins jumping like sheep
Hither the stars they come, sparkling the sea waters
Sing to me again like a mother to her daughter
