My Hero
I remember sitting on the porch
And swinging from the tree
I remember riding horses
And making a pallet in front of the tv
You used to sit and talk for hours
Taking about the war and such
All of these are memories
I cherish so much
You were not only a a hero to me
But to everyone you knew
A father, a brother
A hunter and a soldier too
