Year Ending
I walked familiar pathways,
felt my shoulders--pressed embraced.
My feet, they moved so quick,
I levitated.
All along my lower spine surges of traffic came --
particles, waves of sunlight,
from the center of the earth.
HI **! my trillions of cells exclaimed,
stretching borders of their community kingdoms.
This is all of why I am simply here, I think:
to stop, to listen, to give receive.
Call it love.
How is it that such magic happens?
O, this place and me
at year's ending.
