Does anyone remember?
Do we really want to know?
When did things change?
Where did our innocence go?

Times were demanding
and secrets were hid
It was an easier time
When you were a kid

You might have a problem
With a bully at school
You'd take it out to  the schoolyard
And a fight would ensue

Now they are armed
Things just aren't the same
They have guns in their lockers
Just who is to blame?

What are we missing?
When did it all change?
Our kids sing of murders
Instead of home on the range

I wish there was a way
To go back in the past
When kids still were children
Now, they grow up too fast

Does anyone remember?
Do we really want to know?
When did things change?
Where did our innocence go?
just a throw away that got stuck in my head, I had to write down before I could do anything else.
