Nimble digits, soft and dexterous
Ran the narrow neck of soul strings and hollow body ever-carried
Her holy harmony captivated
She sang his tortured mind to rest
Lullaby, there is some peace yet to be
For broken bones

They shared skin to save words
Dumb warm speech
Comfort of a temporary embrace

When her voice seasoned his bland
There was taste again
He loved her as
She flew away
Melody engraved
