So that’s it, it’s done
That’s it. We’re through
I’ve severed the ropes that have tied me to you.
You said you won’t hurt me
Well times have been tough
You broke your promise
now enough is enough.
You dragged me back in,
You know that I miss you
I could see it in your eyes
Demanding I’d kiss you.
A kiss that lingered
Stretched out so long
And a hug that made me feel like I finally belong.
But now we’re back
To the nothing we were
And now I’m holding air
While you’re holding her.
