Dec 2017
I hope my words
Float into your open window in the summer;
Settle over you like a blanket, the warm humidity
Of the night
And with each star in the clear sky, my words drift crisply into your ear
Whilst your head lies against your pillow-
In the morning you’ll be none the wiser,
But inside,
you’ll know
I was there beside you
like a phantom in the night
