Sometimes I wish I was born into an earlier time
Things weren’t quite so hectic
Life didn’t move so fast
When efficiency didn’t hold sway over camaraderie
Life was centered around family and friends
And intimate gatherings were exactly that
Your life was dependant on your strength of character
And mastery over yourself
Not your technological dexterity
When every hour counted
But every second didn’t
When it seemed, life lasted longer
