the hall echoing,
facing the cheers,
you walked away,
from my side, to the flashes,

smiling cheerfully, as you could,
waving, holding, spreading your charm,
happiness that used to dwell, in your dream,

(pause)
(Silence)

Standing silently,
for me your presence,
and the twitching of your lips,
was all I could hear.........
