I see you in the hallways
We pass by without acknowledgement
At least, you ignore me
But I can’t help but pay attention

What happened between us?
You used to be the person I was closest to
You were my best friend, the only one I trusted
But I must have done something wrong, because now you try not to see me

I see you on the balcony of the second floor
When I’m waiting on the first for classes to start
You stare out at everyone below
But I doubt you see me

Even if you did, you’d surely look away
I just want to know what happened
Why you’re doing this
Treating me the way you are

You gave me blank stares the last time I tried to talk to you
And read my messages but never replied
I just want to know if I did something to deserve this
Or if there’s some other reason

Please just talk to me
I miss you so much
It hurts when you walk by me
And then keep walking
