Dark
Isolated
A heart that used to beat
With love
Now beats
With pain
Sorrow
Hatred for life
Death was its only comfort

She places the necklace
Over her bleeding heart
The bright crimson color
Matching the color
Of the tears she hides

Her nails black
Matching her soul
Once vibrant
She would take a big risk
Just for a chance
To find her place
In life
But doors that were once open
Were now closed
The people she loved
Now shunned her
And turned their backs

Her once red blood
Ran black and cold
As she applied the lipstick
Her hair
Like black waves flowed
Around her shoulders
Her eyes
Tiger color
Flashed as she slipped
Into her jacket

She became over time
The hunter
Instead of prey
She became
Just like her heart
Her Gothic Heart.
