Me loving you was frowned upon.
But boy, was I stubborn.
I insisted that deep down,
you're good;
I refused to see the bad in you.
Even though I was often hurt,
I shut the negativity out.
Wanting desperately
for others to see what I see.
But now I realize
that you're a lost cause.
Because loving you means
hurting and losing me.
