Sorrow
The news arrived today
That You would not return
Tears fall loudly from some
Softly from others
I see you watching us
Wishing to take the pain away
Knowing that you are missed
There will come a time
When we will realize
You are still with those of us you touched
Your smile and laughter
Your advice and praise
I take comfort from the sorrow
Knowing you are in heaven
Watching over those you loved here
Knowing you are with one
Who you lost years ago
You told me that
My tears of sorrow will dry
For they are selfish
You are in a much better place than us
And I can hear your laughter
And see your smile
You will be missed
By all
