Jul 2012
And in the morning I awoke to the smell of sheets.
The shuttered windows and fan smoked of too much rest.
My eyes had fallen open to a cruel dream.
A bad dream.
A dream that hurt.
Where is she?
So ridiculed as I swept my thoughts with cereal.
Hair unkempt and unwashed,
washed with tosses and turns.
